Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the combination of algorithms that are programmed so that a machine carries out actions that until now were carried out by humans, such as learning from data analysis or planning. The potential of using artificial intelligence in education to enhance learning, assist teachers and fuel more effective individualized learning is exciting but also daunting and the ethical considerations are profound.

Pathnam comparatively monitors and evaluates a range of learning attributes within the system for all the learning activities undertaken before a final assessment and maintains Learning Progress Metrics for each student. These Learning Progress Metrics can be combined with the traditional absolute scoring on the final assessment tests in the well-defined weighted scores and generate a comprehensive overall grade for each subject.
